Save the Elephants uses scientific research and conservation ethics to promote elephant conservation both locally and worldwide. Using monitoring data, they reduce elephant-human conflict by steering elephants away from farms and villages. High-tech elephant tracking led to protected corridors where elephants can move to their favorite places without disturbing villages and farms. The discovery that elephants are afraid of bees helped farmers protect their lands with beehives, nature friendly elephant repellant and an income source for local honey collectors. Internationally, they publish the Elephant News Service educating and motivating a global network of scientists, conservation activists and political leaders.
