Mother Africa Trust supports communities bordering Hwange National Park and Matobos in Zimbabwe.  Rangers have their part to play in support of conservation, but equally important are people who live near protected lands.  They are the sentinels for the region. The family behind Amalinda Lodges and the Trust do a lot: building classrooms & waiting rooms for expectant mothers, awarding scholarships, funding field trips into parks, and organizing environmental clean-up campaigns, all to improve the quality of life in communities. They built a primary school near the Matobos relieving local children of a 10 mile (round trip) daily trek.  Its mission is broad, and its commitment is deep: to step up wherever needs occur.
