AfriCat Foundation
AfriCat runs the largest cheetah and leopard rescue-release program in the world. They have rescued over 1,000 of these cats with 85 percent of them released back into the wild. Renowned for rigorous predator research, they organize teams of researchers and veterinarians, compiling data on leopards, cheetahs, pangolins, and aardvarks. The data enables targeted decisions to be made regarding community support, conservation advice to farmers and livestock management, and for effective environmental educational programs. They conduct environmental education programs throughout Namibia, committed to winning the hearts and minds of Namibian youth for environmental conservation, enabling them to become future custodians of their world.
