Cheetah Conservation Fund

Consider a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, where injured cheetahs are rescued, rehabilitated, and released back into the wild. The fund, led by its visionary founder, Dr. Laurie Marker, works to protect this vulnerable species by giving farmers tools they need to protect livestock from predation. Strategic use of corrals, shepherds and guard dogs dramatically reduces human-wildlife conflict. Come meet Dr. Marker and her team, including scientists from all over the world who volunteer here. You can watch dogs at work herding goats. And, because some individuals are sheltered here as Cheetah Ambassadors, you can see these sleek cats up close and marvel as they run for their supper at speeds up to 70 mph.
