The classroom is quite plain but there are 60 young children and one highly skilled, dedicated teacher up at the blackboard, teaching them to read. If a pin dropped, you could hear it. The children who attend Nkoaranga Primary School in Arusha are excited to be here and eager to learn. They may walk three miles each way. They may be the first in their family to regularly attend school. As a school sponsor, we invite you to come see for yourself. Take time to take part in the school day. Bring a map to show Nkoaranga kids where you live or plan an activity to share in one of the classes. (We can help.)
